2015 Harris Poll: Reputation of America’s Greatest Companies

This February, Harris Poll has come out with its 2015 Reputation Quotient. It provides a scorecard of the reputations of the most visible companies in the U.S. as perceived by the general public, as well as by opinion elites–something that is new to the annual Harris Poll.

It’s based on the following dimensions:

  1. Vision & Leadership
  2. Social Responsibility
  3. Emotional Appeal
  4. Products & Services
  5. Workplace Environment
  6. Financial Performance

The general public rankings for this year includes:

  1. Wegmans Food Markets
  2. Amazon.com
  3. Samsung
  4. Costco
  5. Jonhson & Johnson

Among opinion elites, we find the following top 5:

  1. Wegmans Food Markets
  2. Amazon.com
  3. L.L. Bean
  4. Johnson & Johnson
  5. The Walt Disney Company

Wegmans is the only company to be ranked in the top 5 of all 6 reputation dimensions. Also noted was that JC Penney made the most significant improvement, while Coca-Cola experienced the most significant decline.
